Jameson Beekman

Picture
Jameson Beekman is a consultant, life-coach, and mindfulness facilitator living in Cambridge, MA.   His work focuses on using Buddhist principles to support individuals as they seek to reduce suffering in their lives and find their own meaningful path.  For the past four years he has worked with individuals in recovery, using mindfulness practice as a tool to overcome addiction.  Jameson came to Buddhist practice in 2009 and completed Meditation Instructor and Group Facilitator training with Noah Levine at Against the Stream Buddhist Meditation Society in 2011.  He is particularly interested in working with people in recovery and members of the LGBTQ community.

Jameson is the coordinator for Refuge Recovery and a meditation facilitator at Against the Stream Boston.  From 2010 to 2012 he served as the lead facilitator for the Boston Dharma Punx, a peer-led community practicing western Buddhism, and he continues to facilitate at these meetings on a periodic basis.

Jameson spent ten years as a management consultant specializing in strategic planning, policy development, organizational design, process improvement, project management, and corporate training. During this time he learned to integrate mindfulness practices into his daily life and interactions.  Jameson left consulting in 2016 to focus on serving the local community and further his study of Buddhism with the intention of pursuing Buddhist chaplaincy.
